Browder Of Germanton / Section Passes William David Browder, 79, one of the best known fanners of the Germanton community, died at a Winston hospital at 4:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon following a serious illness of 3 months. He was in jailing health for Several years. Mr. Browder was born October! 28, 1869, in Stokes county, the son of J- W. Browdir and Sallie Tuttl e Browder. He spent his en tire life »n Stokes county. H e was a member of Corinth Christian Church. Mr. Browder was married to Miss Anne Marie Westmoreland April 14, 1895- Sh e died May 27 1930- Survivors >nclud e six daughters, Mi's. Sadie Bowman and Mrs. Mattie McGee, both of German ton Mrs. Clemmio Mitchell, Wins ton-Salem, Route 3; Mrs. Mary Bell e Leake, Guilford College, Mrs. Viola Johnson, Walnut Cove and Mrs. Ida Watts, of the home, Germanton, Route 1; four sons, \V. Hobert and Luther Browder, Germanton; Robah Browder, Roland and Thomas Browder, Advance; 31 grand cchild- The funeral was held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home the Re*. The deceased who was one among Kind's best citizens, is survived by the widow, several children and a number of grandchildren. Funeral service was conducted at Volunteer Church near Pinnacle Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock and burial followed in the church cemetery. Friends will be pleased to learn .that there is continued improve- J ment in the condition of Miss : Kate Stone, who has been very sick at her home on Main street. | Mr. and Mrs. Harvey G. Mrs. Nelia Pulliam remains quite sick at her home on Main i street. Joseph E. Stone has purchased from C. T. McGee the Banks Tur ner farm, one mile south of town. Death Claims F. D. Myers Of Germanton Franklin David Myers, 76. Germanton, died Saturday after noon at his home folllowing an illness of two years and a critical illness of three weeks. Mr. Myers was born in For ryth gounty April 15, 1863, t!-r» son of William and Elizabeth Weisner Myers. He lived near Germanton since 1906. He was a well kr.own farmer. He was a member of Germanton Baptist Church. Mr. Myers was twice married, the first time to Miss Mary Alice Charles, who passed away. The second time he was married to Mrs. Jennie Cumbie. She sur vives him. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. C. J. Foy, Win ston-Salem, and Mrs. J. L. Schenck, Greensboro: one son, Gilbert G. Myers, Salisbury; one stepdaughter, Mrs. E. H. little, Winston-Salem; six grandchild ren; thiee great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Snyder ind Mrs. Millie Swaim, both of Route 5.
