the aircraft carrier Princeton
which was sunk by the Japs near
the Philippines in the great sea
l&ght of Oct. 25. More than 1400
of the vessel's crew were saved,
but about 140 were lost. William
was among the rescued and is
now recuperating from wounds in
a base TTospftal, probably at Pearl
Harbor. •
