Jn an affray at Clark's store, in the northern part of Durham, Saturday night, 'Will Pendergrass,aboy, struck James Dixon, an old man, on the hejad with a weight. We learn that the old man's skull is fractured and that he is in a precarious condition. Edwards, in the Wright building, last night, and took therefrom about four hundred dollars in cash and a gold watch. The necessity for such an institution is apparent to all of our tobacco men and we trust that there will be unanimity of purpose to secure it.
