Beaseley, or me Monroe Journal, who can always be counted on to give the women a square deal, has offered them the use of his columns for one day to express their views on matters in which they are interested. In announcing what will be an event in newspaper as well as in club circles, he says: The Woman's Club will get out one issue of The Journal at an early date. The ladies will have full charge and responsibility for that paper, and the only instruction will be to them to write what they please. The object is to give the members of the club a chance to say without let or hindrance what they think is 'the matter with Monroe.' No mere man shall have any finger in that pie we men folks will just stand up and take the swatting that is com ing to us. The ladies will furnish all the copy and will furnish their edi tors and writers without any sug gestion from us. That issue is go ing to be a hummer.
