The gorge at this point is frightful, and when the cas went down there was a terrible crash, s soon as was oossiWe the detached part of the train stopped and ran back to the scene of the disaster. The screams of the vic tims were heat-rending. Assistance aso came from the people living in the vicinity, and everything was done to rescue and release the injur ed. Soon after help arrived it was discovered that fire had started in the first passenger coach ,and soon the en tire tram was ablaze, thus adding horror-to the already frightful catastrophe.
