BRIEF LOCAL MATTERS. W. B. Steele, of High Point, is in the city today. W. Giles Mebane went away on the noon train eastbond. George W. Hinshaw, of Winston, was in Greensboro today. Miss Carrie Kimmel, of Salem, is in the city, stopping at The Allen. Miss Florence Glenn, of Virginia, is visiting the family of Gen. James D. Glenn. Mrs. W. E. Welles, of Hartford, Conn., is here for her health, stopping at The Allen. . Rev. G. T.
