TWO BITES OF AN APPLE. Or How Moore County and its People - I Came to Town. " ' The excursion that came from down theCapeFear road this morning brought people. The excursion had evidently paused for awhile in Moore count' and the dwellers in the stretches of sand and pine hacLobeyed the conduc tor's mandate to "all aboard." They. had all boarded for the first time and had come to see Greensboro, a city with electric lights and a government building. How big the world was! Romeo and Juliet strolled up street, dividing their time between the strange and wonderful sights and each other. The fruiterer proved too much for Romeo. He looked, hesitated and was ost. He bought a big red apple red even as were Juliet's cheeks and tak ing therefrom a huge bite, passed it on to Juliet, who simpered and bit it, too. And so they passed out of sight as did the apple. And every body knew an excursion had come to town. Our Christmas stock is so appropriate for the happy season, you had better see us before buying. Richardson & Fariss, Prescription Druggists.
