The first Sunday in October Is Rally
Day la all Presbyterian Sunday
schools. It la an annual event, and is
always looked forward to with a great
deal of Interest. It is on this day that
tbs children are promoted from one
date to another, and those whohave
woo special toward for regular atten
dance throughout the year are present
ed their perfect attendance pins on
Rally Day.
The Jaaior Department of the local
Presbyterian Sunday school has pre
pared an entertaining program which
will be presented Immediately after
the cleases are dismissed. A large num
ber as the younger members will take
part in this, as well ss some of the
adult members a4 the Sunday school. I

effort is made by the officers, teach-.
era and members of the Sunday school I
to have a record attendance. Last |
year the attendance goal was 265, and ,
the actual attendance was 270. This i
year the goal is 300. and it is expected
that there will be more than 300 there.

Sunday school will be observed in a
joint church and Sunday school ser

auditorium downstairs, cr social hall,
where the joint service will be held.
Parts in the program will be taken by
all o if the departments in the Sunday
school and there will be special music
for the occasion.
The evening service willbe held at
7:30 p. m. and the choir will sing an
anthem. The sermon will have some
thing to do with “Peter’s other-in-
Law."
The Young People’s Society of Chris
tian Endeavor will meet at 6:45 p. in.,
and it will be the occasion of the
monthly consecration meeting. Every'
