Tuttle, above, sitting in Detroit, declared that “depositors whose money is tied up in closed banks don’t de serve all these tears.” The judge, in refusing to grant an order re straining the conservator of the First National bank of Detroit from paying 30 per cent to depos itors who also are stockholders, said:#“These depositors ought to be congratulated. Where would they be if they had bought real estate?” Judge Tuttle is presi dent of the People’s State bank of Leslie, Mich., which is in tbs hands of a conservator.
