There is a g.(.at interest in them as well as in the many thousands whose employ ( rnent will pass through his office. I Mr. Waynick, who was a member of I the 1933 Senate and of the 1931 House | had the experience of two long par , liaments and they equipped him fine ly for the work that he undertakes. Raleigh gets one grand thrill from the coming of the two Waynicks. The first was a member of the two leg islatures, the second of the “Sir Wal ter Cabinet,” a third house composed of wives of the legislators. NO MOVE TO RAISE STATE WAGE LEVEL In tne Sir Wolter Hotel. Daily Dispatch Bnteat, BV A C. HASKRItYILL. Raleigh, Aug. 2.—Budget Bureau members who were here Monday to pass on some salaries not previously determined by bureau act, say the State did not reach th eissue of lift ing the recently reduced salaries par tially back. The 38 per cent cut under the 1931 level has gone into effect, but the basis on which this heavy slash was made has changed. The costs of liv ing have risen in the same ratio and the new low levels embarrass more now than they ever have done. The budget bureau may restore 18 per cent of these cuts, but it is said by the budget bureau that there is no pre sent outlook that such up upbring ing will be ordered. Ncr is there any desire to get a special session of the General Assembly to do this work. Dispatch WANT ADS Get Results FOR RENT TWO NICE Z houses. See Nat T.
