Nor wood Best for Visitors Timely hitting gave Henderson a 12-8 victory over Townsville here yesterday afternoon at League Park as Don Pleasants allowed the visitors eight’ safeties, four of those, though, were* of the extra base variety. Paced by J. Edwards and Short, Henderson pounded two Townsville hurlers for a total of 12 safeties, half of those being for more than one base. V. Norwood got a double, single and triple to lead the visitors at bat. Both teams made five errors. The Tourists went to Ca-Vel today for a league contest, stopping by Durham tonight for a night session with the Bulls in El Toro Park. Clarksville comes here Friday after noon to engage the locals. Newspaper men from Santa Rosa who accompanied the band described the scene as the wildest in onoma county since three men were lynched several years ago for the slaying of three San Francisco police officers.
