Real Estate Very Active January was the bigge-t month for real estate transfers in Vance county in four years. The month showed tiil papers put on record in the register of deeds office. The highest month previously was 75 in .January, 1937. In January last year the total was! 3H and in December the figure was 4(i. For the w hole of 1940 the total I was 422. MARRIAGE LICENSES TO SIXTEEN COUPLES Sixteen marriage licenses issued in this county in January, six <>! them to white and ten to colored couples, were six more than lor tne like month last year, a tabulation to day showed In January, 1940. six white and four colored licenses were issued.
