Estimate- are that the twelfth grade will cost $250.000 the first year and $-750.000 tin >econd. Why the half million dullai difference in the space ι a single session is not explained lor the layman to under stand. If the cost ;s to advance half a million dollars each year, it would be better to run from the proposi tion as one would a lacing rattler. Addition of a ninth increment for teacher- would est an estimated S660.000 οι more. The two, then, would approximate about half the cost of adding a ninth grade, which has been estimated at a trifle less than $3.000.000 a year. Why then, could not the two items be combir.cd and efforts put forth to find a similar additional amount by econorri·'- in other directions so as to make 'he ninth grade oossihle'' The twelfth grade would necessitate more teachers and ihL increment proposition would give them hight salaries.
