Raleigh. .July 20.—Report that inspectors
of the State Department ot
Labor had found more than ten
thousand violations of State labor
laws during the fiscal year ended
June 30. in addition to federal violations
nlrendy renorted. looks on its
face like the employers were a pretty
oad lot.
Breakdown of the violations by
offense?, however, shows that most
of them were technical, uninter.tion,il
and were immediately corrected.
More than half the total infractions
were for violations of the child labor
law. and most frequent offense
here was failure to obtain the n—
011 ired permits. Failure to observe
the legal hours and failure to keep
proper time records constituted another
big group of law violations.
Improper provision of drinking
water, sanitary facilities and resting
place» accounted for more than
