On Mount Moriah Topic Of Gardner At First Bpatist In an observance' of the Lor support at the mi ruing sen ice at the I- ir.'l Baptist chut eh yesterday. H*" Iv Norfleet Gardner, pastor, hr. o ght a brief message on the topic. "On Mount Moriah.” ; The minister compared Mount Mo riah and Mount Calvary, in the old, testament and new, as standing is | the supreme proof of a father's love j ; On Mount Moriah, Abraham was asked to sacrifice his first-hern son. Isaac, as a test of his declared loy alty to Jehovah. I "Abraham rose obediently early , and made preparations for the altar ! Taking Isaac, they spent three day... going toward Mount Moriah.” the pastor stated. "The supreme moment of the test came as Abraham was about to kill his son. Abraham did net hesitate, but raised his hand to slay Isaac, but was staved by the voice of an angel of the Lord, telling Abraham that lie had proved hi lepalty to God. Abraham then looked and ‘taw a ram caught in a thicket; this tie used as a burnt offering. “Yet on Calvary another Son was not spared." the minister concluded. "Tile Son ot God was sacrificed that i nr sins might lie atoned. And today we think of His sacrifice as we gather around the Memorial Table.” -- "Increasing chaos” In Germany is ; easily imagined by anyone who evet got halfway through the job of re- i pairing an alarm clock.—Boston Globe.
