TO TIIEIK LAST CAMPING CKOUND There is ever surrounding our be loved dead a feeling of sacredness and tenderness, and their memory touches a sympathetic chord in ouf ' hearts, says the Charlotte Chcnicle. We do not deem it out of place here, to reproduce the beautiful words, so feelingly and so eloquently expressed by Mr. Henry Blount, the erudite editor of the Wilson Mirror, on the occasion of the removal of the Confederate dead, near that place to, Maplewood Cemetery. The soul of the poet is portrayed in this beautiful tribute to the memory of the departed, and it should find a lasting remembrance in the heart of the living. It is a gem of the purest ray. The Mirror says : " This week the silent and stepless march of our deathless dead becan. and the fetterless martyrs of the dear "Lost Cause" were brought up in their glory wrapped shrouds, and re moved from the old cemetery to dear, sweet, beautiful Maplewood. But at the same time we cannot forget the sublime heroism of WHKKU IS HE ? Perhaps no State is richer in sound political timber than North Carolina and the best man ought to be put forward to lead the ticket next year. Speaking on this subject the Wilson Mirror asks the question : Where is the man whose magnetic influence and thrilling powers of in spiration will stir and quicken the throbbings of enthusiasm in the bosom of the lone fishermen on the sea coast, siODes of the pacifl as his boat goes drifting on the murky I THlt" ?
