Mr. Jacob Setzer gave his bond of five thousand dollars with E. S. Little, R. L. Connor, J. W. Setzer, Hoke and H. L. Yoder as sureties. Capt W. A. Day gave his bond for $25,000 as Treasurer of the School Fund with G. A. War- 1 lick, J. F. Smyre, S. L. Rhyne, J. U. Long, Geo. Moose, M. J. Rowe, R. B. Knox, A. M. Wil son and A. A. Shuford as sure ties. Capt. Day gave his bond of $16,000 for County funds; with C. L. Turner, B. F. Cornelius, J. Ar Sherrill, W. E. Wilson, Sam uel Turner, and G. I. Sherrill as sureties. Mr. D. M. Boyd gave his offi cial bond of $5,000 with S L. Rhyne. Geo. W. Rabb, R. P. Shrum and J. P. Wilcoxen, of Ashe, a Baptist minister now in his eighty ninth year, recently held revival meetings at Zionville and Meat camp churches, he was formerly 1 pastor at both places. - He still preach es with much zeal and is ' as enthusiastic as in his younger days. j North Carolina Day will miss the public schools in the county, as they are nearly all closed, however the superintendent will make an effort to raise som? con tributions for the M.lvor m nu ment.
