last August, he developed symp
toms of serious illness, it was

1 it off. But the disease was a
■ mysterious one, that baffled med
-1 ical skill. Physicians in Gasto
■ nia, here, the specialist in Mor
" ganton, treated him in vain,
1 Then, as a last hope, his mother
■ took him, more than a month
ago, to Washington, where he
was not only treated by the
■ doctors in charge, but by the

capitol city,
But the issues of life and death
are in other hands. All was in
vain, and little Frank is wiser
