Miss Rosa Smyre from New ton, was wit'i her"cousins, the Misses Mull, several days ago. Mrs. J. W. Kirkpatrick and son have returned to their home in Gastonia. Another pupil was enrolled this week. Mrs. I. A. Simpson, widow of the late Dr. C. T. Simpson, of Memphis, and later of California, was in town Monday. Wharey, wi.o has been attending Presbytery at Marion and Synod at Hender son ville returned Friday. Mrs. Wharey who has been detained in Moorepville, owing to illness in the family of her daughter, ] Mrs. Gray, arrived Monday. It is hoped that she can now re main permanently.
