Kidney trouble preys upon the mind, discourages and lessens ambition; beauty, vigor and cheer!ill ness soon disappear when the kidneys are out of order or dis eased. v Kidney trouble has become so prevalent that it is not uncom mon for a child to be born afflicted with weak kidneys. If the child urinates too often, if the urine scalds the flesh, or if, when the child reaches an age when it should be able to control the passage, it is yet afflicted with bed-wet ting, depend upon it, the cause of the diffi culty is kidney trouble, and the first step should be towards the treatment of these important organs. This unpleasant trouble is due to a diseased condition of the kidneys and bladder and not to a habit as most people suppose. Women as well as men are made miser able with kidney and bladder trouble, and both need the same great remedy. The mild and the immediate effect of Swamp-Root is soon realized. Fox, proprietor of a barber shop, in the store of vV. N. Pinkston in VVadesboro last Friday night, The only eye witness to the tragedy was a negro who claims she was stand ing in the door drinking coco-cola when Watson walked up to Fox and him. She states that neither of the men spoke to the other. Those in the store heard the shots but paid no attention to them or to the negro girl who came running through the house. The sheriff, when notified, gathered a passe and arrested Fox at his home in bed. He denied all knowledge of the mur der, but his hat and eye-glassees which were found beside the dead man were proof sufficient to arrest. Both men were well known and it was thought they were the best of friends. [Mr. Fox was formerly of Newton. He went to Newton from Caldwell county. At the present time it looks very much as if The Greensboro Industrial News has passed into history, an event regrettable in view of the fact that such a pa per deserved a better fate. Un somebody comes forward with enough "real money" to make a respectable bid at at auction, North Carolina will have aaded another name to the long list of journalistic disasters. The Industrial News did not fail becouse of poor management The men at its head, the men Who did the active work, were all experienced newspaper men, as good as any to be found in the state. No, our former Republi can contemporary, (and it was Republican, despite Mr. Holton's assertions to the contrary) died because those whom it served did not appreciate a good news paper. Lack of appreciation, substantial appreciation we mean, has blighted many good causes, and newspapers are the first to tail under such circum stances. Much as it may surprise some, it is nevertheless a fact that the Jay when fortunes could be made in the newspaper business has passed awa/ into far dis tant history. Some there are who, even in this day, believe that publishing a newspaper is "easy money," but to be quickiv undeceived ask any newspaper publisher in the South, or else where, who has grown gray in an effort to keep things going while the paper trust kept turn ing the screws. More fortunes have been invested and lost in the newspaper business than in any other line, unless perhaps we except the saw mill. If any woman who is suffering with any ailment peculiar to her sex will ask her neighbors this question, she will be surprised at the result. There is hardly a community in this country where women cannot be found who have been restored to health by this famous old remedy, made exclusively from a simple formula of roots and herbs. During the past 30 years we have published thousands of letters from these grateful women who have been cured by Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound, and never in all that time have we published a testimonial without the writer's special permission. Never have we knowingly published a testimonial that was not truthful and genuine. Here is one just received a few days ago. If anyone doubts that this is a true and honest statement of a woman's experi ence with Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound write and ask her. Houston, Texas.—" When I first began taking Lydia E. Pink ham's Vegetable Compound I was a total wreck. I had been sick for three years with female troubles, chronic dyspepsia, and a liver trouble. I haft tried several doctor's medicines, but nothing did me any good. " For three years I lived on medicines and thought I would never get well, when I read an advertisment of Lydia E. Pink ham's Vegetable Compound, and was advised to try it. ** My husband got me one bottle of the Compound, and it did me so much good I continued its use. lam now a well woman and enjoy the best of health. " I advise all women suffering from such troubles to give Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound a trial. They won't regret it, for it will surely cure you." Mrs. Bessie L. Hicks, 819 Cleveland St., Houston. Any woman who is sick and suffering is foolish surely not to give such a medicine as this a trial. Why should it not do ner as much good as it did Mrs. Hicks.
