Possibly the saddest tragedy ever enacted was that of the killing of Mis: Regina Reed, of Baltimore, by her affianced hus band, Joseph iiueler. Just how the accident occurred is not known, but it is admitted by all that the shooting was accidental. With her bridal gown for a shroud Miss Reed w is laid to rest amidst the greatest sorrow. John C. Lumsden of this State, who killed a wealthy New York broker some months ago, was convicted of manslaughter in the New York courts last week. Many prominent men of North Carolina were in court to testify to the good reputation of Mr. Lumsden. The killing grew out of a mis understanding in regard to busi ness dealings, GOOD NEWS.
