NPKTORN BIT*. R. F. D. No. 1. There seems to be no impor tant news in this neck of woods at present. The recent rains caused the river to overflow its banks, but we do not think that the corn crop was hurt very much. The corn in the bottoms is very green yet. Some of the farmers are cutting off their corn to be shredded. Cotton is beginning to open nicely. There has been but little plow ing done for another wheat crop- The people around Wesley's chapel are all in one general hus tle preparing for campmeeting which begins next Friday. Mrs. Yoder made a visit to her sister, Rusticus' wife. He gave a long history of his recent trip to Asheville. F. A. Yoder, of Jacob's Fork township and on R-l from Hick ory, has completed his water works by a ram forcing about 800 feet up an elevation of about 100 feet in pipes to his barn lot, also to his dwelling house. Kidney trouble preys upon the mind, discouragesandlessensambition; beauty, —-vigor and cheerful •»—» ness soon disappear when the kidneys are out or(^er or Sidney trouble has ] f Yi become so prevalent r([\ ft is not uncom fj mon £or a . child to be •J* » born afflicted with weak kidneys. If the ' child urinates too often, if the urine scalds the flesh, or if, when the child reaches an age when it should be able to control the passage, it is yet afflicted with bed-wet ting, depend upon it, the cause of the diffi culty is kidney trouble, and the first step should be towards the treatment of these important organs. This unpleasant trouble is due to a diseased condition of the kidneys and bladder and not to a habit as most people suppose. Women as well as men are made miser able with kidney and bladder trouble, and both need the same great remedy! The mild and the immediate effect of Swamp-Root is soon realized. It is sold by druggists, in fifty- cent and one-dollar • size bottles. You may have a sample bottle {FSHKSBpgggSSI by mail free, also " pamphlet telling all about Swamp-Root, mcluding many of the thousands of testi monial letters received from sufferers who found Swamp-Root to be iust tVip remedy needed: In writing Dr. Kilmer tighamton'i ghamt0n ' be sure and mention this paper. She hasn't what you call accomplishments, leastwise not the fashionable kind called 'art.' She doesn't paint nor play, or do any such things; but in the kitchen she just shines. She knows how to take hold anywhere, and she does it without a fuss. When I'm rushed past endurance and don't know which way to turn to get through, then to have her step in and lend a hand at the commonest little things, as if she loved to do them, and came on purpose for just such work, is a lift worth having. She never acts put-on or abused, as if drud gery was beneath her, but comes right in, all smiling and hearty, and sets herself to work. Some how she heartens a body up; there is something so pleasant about her, as if she had something good to tell and loved to pass it on. She's a kitchen angel, that is what she is, and I wish there were more of her —enough to go round a number of kitchens where the Marthas are so cum bered they don't know what to do. Isn't this a tribute to be envied and an example to emulate? — Young People. A remedy that simply gives tempor ary relief is not the right remedy to cure Piles-.
