pjij A MOTHERLY COW. Adopts a Pig and Permits it to Help Itself to Lacteal Nourishment * Strange things happen in these piping tiroes of various activities when everybody is hustling for number one. We have "heer'n tell" of cats adopting chickens—of turkey gobblers mothering puppies, but it remained for the editor's cow to adopt a pig and care for it as tenderly as if her .awn offspring-. But such is the case. And our testimony on the subject has corroboration too. Ye editor's cow has been hav ing the run of his back lot and at the same time a little three months old pig has been ramb ling about the premises seeming ly content with the world at large. About a week after this companionship begun, complaint was registered as the scarcity of milk "MissSukey" was to furnish ing the Tamily. At the same time it was noticed that young Mr. Pig was attaining marvellous growth. This aroused suspicion, and investigation as a matter of painfully necessity followed. With a credible witness we sallied forth to investigate, and 10, and behold, we found that pig "rear ed UP' ' on his hind legs sucking that old cow to beat the band! Immediate separation followed and to cap the climax the cow stood around that pigs place of imprisonment and lowed and bawled like she had lost her calf. That's all-rbut its the truth!— Cleveland Star. Most women are troubled with Kid ney complaint, and you know very many serious and even fatal diseases result from this neglected Kidney troubles.
