The Catawba County Lutheran Pastors' Association neld its reg ular monthly meeting at the col lege Monday and they were en tertained at a luncheon by Prof, and Mrs. M. L. Slirewalt. The following party enjoyed a theatre party at the Hotel Huf fry last night after witnessing the Marguerite Smith Company at the Academy of music: Misses Mary Burnside, Hazel Elliot and Messrs. Frank Henderson and Jacob Doll. Miss Minnie Sides and Mr. David Fry of this county were married last Sunday in Icard Township, Burke county, at the residence of 'Squire Adams, the officiating magistrate. In a closely contested and well played game of basket ball be tween the Juniors and Sopho mores of Lenoir College, Monday evening, the Sophomores were defeated by the Juniors, the beore being 53 to 48. The feature of the game was the fine goal throwing by Miss iViauney for the Juniors.
