Surprise Party at Mr. Yount's.
Tne home of Mr. Timothy J.
Yount was unexpectedly visited
oa Sunday morning, April 14, by
hi 3 children, grandchildren arid
only brother, Mr. Walter Yount,
and other relatives. It was the
celebratiou of Mr. Yount's 64th
birthday. The children had
planned the celebration to the
surprise of their father, and the
plan worked admirably.
It is .doubtful whether they
could have thought out another
surprise that would have given
to MR Yount an equal amount of
enjoyment. There are perhaps
few men who get more enjoy
ment, than Mr. Yount, out of his
family ana friends. Nothing
seems to afford him more real
pleasure than to see those
around him rejoicing, and in this
coming together of his friends
to eat with him and to make glad
the day, Mr. Rount's highest joy
was given expression to through
the happiness and pleasure the
day brought to those around
him. Thus his heart was glad
dened by the joy and happiness
ot others. May this good citizen
have many occurences yet of the
day of his birth, and may they
ali cause to spring up within him
as much, if not more, joy and
and peace. J. D. M.
Devoe Takes Least Gallons:
Aways
Taint Devoe; it's the cheap
est paint in the world: never
mind the price; it may or may
not be more. Less gallons will
paint the house; and the paint
will outwear anything.
Skip wear; you've got to wait,
to find that out.
It's the cheapest of all; no mat
bter aout the price.
N k Watkins. Lott, Texas, used
13 gallons on his house before;
bought 13 gallons Devoe for same
house and had 16 gallons left.
C. B. Edwards, of Edward's
& B rough ton, printers, Raleigh,
NC. used 30 gallons paste paint
on his house; bought 30 gal
lons Devoe for same house and
had 16 left.
That's how.

Almost A Miracle
One of the most startling changes
ever seen in any man, according to W.
B, Holsclaw, Clarendon, Tex., was
effected years ago in his brother. "He
had such a dreadful cough," he
writes, "that all our family thought
he was going into consumption, but
he began to US»J Dr. King's New
Discovery, and was completely cured
by ten bottles. Now he is sound and
well and weighs 218 pounds. For
many years our family has used this
wonderful remedy for coughs, and
colds with excellent results." It's
quick, safe, reliable and guaranteed.

I was not, but was taking Dr. Miles'
Heart Remedy, he said, 'Thank the
Lord for Dr. Miles' Heart Remedy.' I
continued to take it, and while I
realized my heart was damaged so 1
could not expect a permanent cure, for
fifteen years I worked every day, not
withstanding I had been told I would

taken with rheumatism again, and It
went to my heart as before. I got so
bad that one of the Albany papers

Dr. Miles' Heart Remedy witTl very
