SUTTLEMYRE LIKES JOB AS LEGISLATOR Representative E. G. Suttlemyre of Caldwell county passed through the city today en route to Raleigh. He has been with a visitinc committee to the insane asylum at Morganton and stopped over at his home in Caldwell to spend a few days with his family. This is Mr. Suttlemyre's first ex perience as a legislator, but he likes it. (For a few weeks a new member is kept busy learning the names and faces of members and of finding out how each other looks at life. There is something in this too, because when one is associated with a large num ber of men he wants to line up with the crowd that represents his ideals. (Mtn Suttlemyre has had a bill pass ed to prohibit the killing and shipping out of Caldwell county of heifer calves under six months of age and has had a bill passed to let the pecf pie of Caldwell vote on a bond issue of $250,000 for roads He also has had the corporate limits of Granite Falls extended and put the salary of the treasury of his county at $50 a month. The Caldwell man, who is a far mer, is on a number of committees education, roads and turnpikes, cities and towns, agriculture privileges and election, agriculture, private and lo cal laws and others and has not found time, of course to meet with all.
