AAA II p aHj ? 1 HI u Sly NOTICE QF ELECTION Under and by virtue of the provis ions of an act of the general assembly e xt il r i: -.n tVus 1st' day of March, 1J17, a petition imv ing been presented to the board of al dermen of the town of Longview sign ed by one-third of the qualified vo ters residing within the district here inafter mentioned an order was made on the 23rd day of April, 1917, by the board of aldermen of the town of Longview for an election to be held in Longview school district No. 14, for the purpose of determining the question of levying an additional special annual tax whereby the pres ent snefial school tax shall be in crease from 30 cents on the $100 val-1 uation to 45 cents on said valuation arid increase the present tax of 90 cents'on the poll to $1.35 on the poll if a majority of the qualified voters at the election to be held on the date hereinafter mentioned shall vote in ! favor of said tax the same shall be ex ! pended exclusively for the maintenance of schools within said district. It was further ordered that an elec tion be held in said district on Satur day the 26th day of May, 1917, and ! J. R. Abee was duly appointed regis j trar of said election and O. R.
