The situation to day is about what the Record ex pected when the revolution started, but since the Russian people have re fused to go entirely to pieces we are still hopeful that they will em erge stronger. The clash of authority was to have been expected and the strongest man probably wil win. If he is the right kind of man, ho will restore order and begin the huge task of preparing Russia for its responsibilities in the family of nations. It is a tragedy that the really strong men in Russia would not pull together, but there are elements in the situation that are no more discour aging than the news that has come from Russia in the last few weeks. For one thing, the situation hardly could be any worse for the allies, un less a separate peace is agreed to, and a few more months may give time for the strong men to handle the situation. sale and demonstrated in) Hickory jD by the Hickory Drug Co. u Formulamf non verfdd 11 rion wir,P Ironized Paw-Paw, price $1.00. j Formula on every bottle.
