Miller, Pas time theatre. 3 22 2't Lenoii, March 22 Jacob Carlton died yesterday from gunsho't wounds ssiid to have been inflicted by his brother-in-law, Julo Coswell." Co well is being held in jail here pend ing preliminary hearing. The hear ing will be sometime this week it is believed. The shooting arose over a fuss between Carlton and his wife who was Coswell's sister. Coswell is al leged to have said that he shot Carl ton because he was beating his sis ter. The tragedy occurred Friday night at Carlton's home about two miles southwest of here. Coswell was living with his brother-in-law and remained there after the shoot ing until sheriff Triplett arrived and placed him under arrest. This is the second family row and killing that has taken place in that section of the county in the past few months. The first tragedy occurred when Hardin Mabe went on the war path and killed his brother-in-law, Phillip King, and another neighbor iy the name of Tom Winkler. Mabe then shot himself. Bud Ch'lders and Berry Lefevers were bound over yesterday by jus tice of the Peace J. A. Bush on the charge of hold up and robbery. The two men were charged with holding up and robbing John Price between Lenoir and Whitenel Sunday night Price testi fieri that he was knocker! down and robbed.
