Miss Whitener is one of tae most brilliant and skillful pianists in the city. ROBINSON GIVE -..DINNER ETUDE MUSIC CLUr. On last Saturday afternoon a de lightful meeting of the Etude Music club was held at the home of Mrs. J. H. Hatcher on Tenth avenue. A most interesting and varied program was given, consisting of piano solos, duets and readings almost all of -the solos were played from memory, showing careful study and preparation. Miss Elizabeth Abernethy was elected president of the club. In the musical contest Miss Kath ryn Wa-liek,Wof Granite Falls, won the prize. At the conclusion of the program refreshments were served and the club adjourned to meet next with Miss Elizabeth Aber-nethy. CIIESCENDO MUSIC CLUB The Crescendo Music club held ics regular monthly meeting with Miss Cora Nichols on Saturday afternoon. Hayden was the composer for the afternoon's discussion period so the members responded' to the roll call with quotations referring to th:-s great musician. Virginia Fox, Elizabeth Moore, Cor.i Nichols, Elizabeth Hall, Ada .May Grove, George Grove, Flizabeth Davis and Cecilia Willard were' on the pro gram for the afternoon. Joseph Wil lard, Lydia Hatfield and Aileen West composed the committee for the en tertainment period. The musical games and contests selected by them adcre.l greatly to the pleasuie of the a iter noon. . . Guests for the meeting were Missrs NelHe Brown and Christine Shell. After the serving of enjoyable re freshments by the hostess, the club adjourned to meet in January with Misses Elizabeth and Mary, Rebeceu Moore. The colonial home of Mr. and Mrs. John Robinson on White Oak Farm never radiated with more genuine hos pitality than at the dinner party given in honor of Mr. Robinson's brother, Mr. J. MISSES BOOTH ENTERTAINS Misses Annette and Louise Booth entertained with a party on Thank giving night at their home on Thir teenth street, the attair being one the most charming of 'the holiday festivities. Several merry contests were held the prizes for the vegetble cohtesi bein- awarded to John Wootten and Fay Mitchell, the latter receiving ri-t booby. Games of. different sorts au ded to the merriment of the evenin." A slang word contest proved very interesting as the first prize was awarded to the person with the least number of words and the booby going to the one with the largest anioua of words.
