Byerly returned from the State Fair a few, days ago of course Tommie reports hav ing a grand old time at the city of oaks. I J I have often wished I could run about and visit my friends and relatives like other white folks but I never could afford it cause it makes me hustle to af- ford to live and do well, without these high toned pleasure trips. Well 1 guess I can't say I never did run about any at all, course it called running about at this1 day and time, when a fellow moves from place to! place but when I. move about I generally take it the surest way afoot and as you all know the fun that is in walking trip is fe A and far between. The school at this place is steadily improving and we would just say that any one who wants to get a good high school learning can get it here on reasonable terms. I I Miss Minnie Evans of Haues visited her sister Mrs. Hartley last week. N. J. Payne left last week we know he will stop. The Contradicting this place not where Society of .his place, as the boys would Aut it, is still hustling. Well this Society had what they called a public debate sometime ago a all the town folks came out to hear them contradict. The bov. used their best oratory for a lo.nr wiine oer me nine simple que.; tion: "Should men and women be equally educated in degree and kind." Now this was a verv simple question in my' niiiul cause iClooks like any body ought to know that women don't need ihe same learning that a man does cause they know to much now but to my great astonish ment that lady loving President decided in favor of the: afirmatlve.
