A closer co-ordination of county home and farm demonstration work in the county, a "definite county-wide program f work and an intensive drive against the boll weevil in the cotton growing section in North Carolina" are three things resulting from the conference of agents now in session at the State college, according to F. H. Jeter, of the institution and the department of agriculture. - ,"Added to this is the . fact , that the agents are getting new ideas about impToved agriculture,' n thought about how to co-operate with the specialists of the experi ment station and extension - service and a clearer perception of the dif ferent lines of work being done by agricultural authorities at headquar ters here," he said. "This has been one of the most im portant gatherings oi county men and women agents in all the tweiv years of this particular work in the state-according to B. W. Kilgore, of the agricultural extension service, Mr. Kilgore states that he is pleased with the results of the meeting and feelssure that great good will come from it The agents have threshed out many perplexing questions and have cleared up a number a matters giving them soipeconcern. - "Throughout the entire meeting and conference, however j there haJ been a harmony of effort, a spirit of . . 'a- it.. M - service to vne ivmcn vi wmni Carolina and a feeling that the agents can go back to their respec tive counties with tne hearty -sup port of all the agricultural authori ties, according to Director Kilgore. Marketing, hog feeding, poultry, gardening, fairs, nutrition studies, club work, boll weevil control, rou tine office duties have all Teceived attention during the -past week and definite ideas worked out as to tht best methods of handling them," he said. :.'
