Fliv within your income. , In School matters Catawba Springs and North Brook townships of this county, made a forward move last Monday when the voters said yes to the proposition for an acredited High School in - each of these townsnips. That's real Progress, and the folks are to be commended for their vision. With a standard High School in North Brook and Catawba Springs township those sections may expect the move to town, that the children may finish their education, to cease. When the schools in the country e come equal of any in any city, the population of towns will not increase so fast at the expense of the country. You will be out of luck if you have not a new number on your gas bug gy by next Tuesday. , The next president of the U. S. A. is being selected 'by the Democrats in convention this week in New York City..;- The man who blows not his own horn on mountain curves the same may remain untooted. People this day and time deliber ately vote upon themselves more taxes if it is for schools and roads. These are the developers of N. C. More Good Nuggets. It isn't your position, but your disposition, that makes you happy or unhappy. Front page news this week is fur nished fiom the big city of New York, where the big Democratic Convention nominated a presidential candidate. This convention was one of the most important in the history of the nation. The interest was great, one reason for this being uncertain ty. No one seemed sure as to who the nominee would be. France has elected a new President without holding any nominating con vention. But the game is nothing like so exciting as it is in the United States. .. ' , . Sometimes the fellow who goes out in his auto to take a rest finds it is arrest. There is some doubt which of the nirmen has the record for the longest continuous flying, but most of the members of congress have gone up in the air all session. Pictures are now being sent by telephone, but what a convenience it will be when they can take them that way. An optimist is a man, who, when he cumes to a aetour, tninks it w a very gooa roaa to me a detour. ,lhe woman who sued a minister for two million dollars because he nad her put in an insane asvhim. has furnished him good ground for justi- iicauon. A small town is a place where they every woman has buried. There is a baseball team known as the Wolf Pack, for instance the A. & E. College team of this state, Savs a local fan whn rnrrivta na nn that score. To be sure they barked " on the heels on many of the college outiits tne past season.
