GERMAN COLLEGE STUDENTS
DEMAND REDUCED TUITION
(By Associated Press)
Berlin, July 9.—The stndents o:
state institutions in Prussia have
threatened to boycott lectures anc
classes unless the fees for attending
coleges and universities are cut t<
one-third of the present amounts. The
threat was made at a meeting recent
ly of representatives of the studen
unions 0f all Prussian higher insti
tutions of learning.
The students represetatives de
dared that the students economicallj
are not in a position to afford th<
fees fixed by the Prussian ministry
of culture and education. They denie<
that the students have gone on strike
but said that the pecuniary distres
of the students compe s many o.
them not to pay their fees and to
remain away from the lecture.
It is said that a bill will be intro
duced in the Prussian diet to providt
public funds to make up the differ
ence between the fees now asked an<
those suggested by the students.

Valuation of Personal Property for the Year 1924.
Under a recent ruling from the Chairman of

the value of property, 0r addition of new buildings.
No reductions ^>r increases will be made in real
estate unless the reasons ' therefor are considered
“extraordinary circumstances.”
