Meeting of the I'nion Count)' Club at Trinity Colleso. Correspondence of The Journal. On Monday evening, March 2, the I'nion County Club held hi regular meeting. As there was no business of importance to be tr.inoacted, the :ee'in;; was turned into an informal serial gathering, and the evening was i-oetit in a most nejoy.;'oU manner. Practically nil the members were present, who, after being t's-embled in one of the Ptudont't: rooms, pro reeded to make away v. kh the niaay good eats which had been prepared lor the occasion. After two or throe hours of feasting, nr. ok in-.', joking, and mental hilarity In gcr.eral, the boys leturned to their room, having had a most pleasant time in all res pects. The next meeting will take place on the first Monday evening In April. The members of the club are doing good work in college this year, both individually and collectively. The I'nion county aggregation has this year furnished na intercollegiate de bater, a Y. M. C. A. president, a Y. M. C. A. treasurer, the president of the Cre.-.ter Trinity Club, the busi ness manager of the Chanticleer, a varsity basketball player, a member each for the second teams of basket ball and baseball, the staff cartoon ists for tha college weekly newspa per, the art editor and the assistant art editor of the college r.nnual, the Chanticleer. Eesides the.o import ant positions, nearly every organiza tion in college has a representative from the ranks of I'nion county stu dents here, and many offiieers in these nnd other organizations ore held by I'nion county men. Too, the siudents from I'nion county main tain a very high standard of scholar ship. Altogether, this Is a very un usual record for the rtudeats from any county to m.ike in a single year, and a record to which they may point with great pride. The work of the club has had very tangible results, as may be shown by the number of members composing it. there being nineteen from I'nion county In Trin ity College this year. It Is the hope of the club that it may do even great er things in the future, for the foun dation on which it reals, and from which Hn operations are directed, as sures it unlimited success.
