Hut there is one phase of the work that "gets our goat." We are eti rnally tired of and opposed to the City of Monroe haul ing its filth, its icluse and the dead bodies of its animals just outside the ciiy limits ami depositing them siiuarely under the noses of the sur biirban residents. This is not proper sanitation but simply "passing the buck" to your neighbor. The contents of surface closets, dead horses, rats, dogs, cows, chick ens, billy goats and i any other things of a similar nature have been hauled out on the south of town, sometimes causing such a stench that the resi dents of that section were compelled to hold their noses while trying to eat their food. The tin ran Is said to be a breed ing place for mosquitoes. If this Is true, and we think It Is - then the discarded tin cans should he buried or disposed of In some other way that will keep it from becoming a menace to others. If you nfk what shall the town do w ith such things, we answer Unit this is your affair we have troubles of our ow ii.- Surburban Resident. Jit is a misdemeanor to leave a dead carcais tinburied.
