"Parkers for governor seems to be the hit of the season," smilingly ex claimed John J. Parker, brilliant young Monroe attorney, who Inti mated yesterday that he would wel come the republican nomination for governor with open arms. "Yes." admitted Mr. Parker to the Observer, "I have been thinking se riously of running that is if I am endorsed by the state convention. If the delegates there want me to run, I will. Farker won In Louisiana; may be he can in North Carolina." Mr. Parker was in Charlotte for the funeral of the late Judge Francis I. Osborne. He is well and favorably remembered here for his work In the famous police murder trial two months ago. He was chief assistant to Jake F. Newell, who prosecuted tho policemen.
