hotel to which he hastened from the
Coliseum after his nomination, Sena
tor Harding made no formal state
ment, but declared he was "very hap
py and "deeply grateful" to his
friends.
The Republican nominee showed
his elation when he emerged from
his rooms with Mrs. Harding to face
a battery of camera men.
"If you want to make Mrs. Hard
