Road boads were defeated in Yadkin to day by a narrow margin. With two townships yet to be heard from, it is estimated that the proposition to issue $200,000 in bonds for the construction of highways was lost by a majority of 80 votes, in the election held in the county today as provided for in the special act put through the late General Assembly by Representatives. Carter Williams of this county. The result of the election today, however, does not mean that Yadkin road work gressman, lost out in his fight for a j done. Mr. Williams also had a bill judgship.
