Co u n ty o ffi ce r s n about twenty other STRANGE CONDUCT. A Man Rambling 'Round at Night Dressed in Woman's Clothes Other Bad Conduct. A little excitement has been created by the strange ram bling about town for the past few nights of a man dressed in woman's clothes. He has so far evaded identification, though he has several times been chased. Last night some men ran him and shot at him several times and in his flight he was seen by Mr. James Hally burton as he passed the electric light plant, but Mr. Hallvburton could not tell whether he was white or black. This strange character has visited several homes, frightening women and child ren. What the man's object is in tins strangfe conduct can not be imagined. If he keeps it up, officers will probably soon have him in the lock-up. Just here we might say, too, that many think the conduct of those in pursuit of the strange individual last night was even worse than that of the man they were after. The promiscuous or any otner kind of shootingof pistols and shot fifuns in the streets by those who have no authority should not be tolerated. It was dangerous in the extreme, and the violators of the law should be brought to justice. HAT HATS! HATS! Our fair stock of hats v has arrived. All the new shapes and shades from 25 cents to $2.00.
