Don't hut it! Here are tested receipts that help toward whcatlcwanes*. C' nmeal Waffle Sift tcfrether 1 x cupful of rcrnmeal, l? cupful oT flour, and S tca-poonful of-oda. Add 1 teaspoonful of unit. Stir into the lat ter 1 cupful of boiled rice beaten with 1! eex- 3rd 1 cupful of *tur jnilk. Meat thoroughly and bake on well greased waffle-irons. To 1 cupful of this potato am) water mixture add H cup ful of scalded milk and S tenspoon fuls of melted fat. Stir in 1 table spoonful of sugar and teaspoonful of salt and while lukewarm add 1 rake of compressed yeast which has l>oej^ dissolve in '* cupful of warm milk. Add 2 cupfuls of corn flour and 1 cup ful of wheat flour, enough to make a soft dough. Work the dough into a compact roll and set to ri«e in covered crock. When double in bulk shape the dough into small roll* and allow to •rise again. Hake 20 minutes in a mod erate oven. Buckwheat Nut Bread: Mix ami sift together 1 cupful of buckwheat flour and 1 cupful of rye flour, adding H i teaspoon of baking soda and H tea-, spoonful of salt, and 2 teaspoonful* of baking; powder. Dissolvecupful of brown sugar in 1 cup of sweet milk and add to it 1 egg, well beaten. Com bine the milk and flour mixture*, Iwating thoroughly. Add Mi cupful of ratalna and H cupful of choppad nut* and beat against. Bake 1 bow is nod-1 urate oven. Oats Steams; Bread: Mit I n^fol of uncooked rulle<l oatj with a like amount of yellow coi nnn-al and sift in 2 teaspoon'ultf of baking powder and 1 tea spoonful of salt. Mix with I cup ful of sweet mi.". 2 teispoonful* of molaKses and 1 « g>.', well beaten. Ad<i to the dry mixture and beat in 2 table spoonbuls of melted_ vegetable fat.
