eron, grand matter of the grand lode*
of Masons of North Carolina, died at
hit "Rum of SKaren" home at 1
o'clock Sunday morning. He was
6# yean of age aad the head of a
large family. Probably no man ia
American had held to many Masonic
honors, according to grand lodge offi
cers, in so many years, he was promi
nent in polities, having bald the of

ty. He waa formerly a man of ex
ceptional physique and strength. He
was a native of Ore awe county. Hia
ancestors lived in Moore county. He
waa a mstebir of the Methodist chunk
at 8haron and active in support of it
and neighborhood civic affairs.

might have been wealthy. It latter
