counties of North Carolina during the
entire year vas provided for In a bud
get adopted at the two-day meeting of
the board of conservation and develop
ment ending today at More head city.
The new arrangement will begin
August 1. ,
Under the plan worked out and
presented to the board of directors, 3.

C. H. England, a saving of approxi
mately $60,000 will be accomplished In
the warden service and at the same
time the wardens will be la the field
the entire year. Instead of only during
the seasons for hunting as heretofore.
The board also voted to reduce the
number of assistant state game war
dens from five to three, one for each
of the throe geographical sections of
the state. The three assistant state
game warden* elected at the meeting
are: 8. N. Mease. Black Mountain; W
C. Lisk, Richfield and Oeorge A. Nl
coll. All three have served In the same
capacities but will now have jurisdic
tion over a larger territory.
Newest of the system ot state gome
refuges approved for establishment by
the conservation officials Is a tract of
more than 10,000 acres located In the
earners of Alleghany, Surry and Wilkes
county.
