The registration books are now open and will be until sunset July 21st. It Is an entirely new registration and all per sons not registered lose tbelr votes. An excursion of colored people from Goldaboro to Newbern passed through Kinston this morning. A large number of Klnston colored people went on the excursion. The negroes are registering rapidly, in order to "vote 'ginst de inendment." White people should register at once, in order to vote for it Don't put it off, but register at once, white man, and stand by your color. White man, register! No matter if you have registered in tbe past election, it is necessary to register anew. A new regis tration has been ordered. Register, and vote for the amendment, white men, and White Supremacy. The town authorities have given con sent to a bicycle race, between colored cyclists, which will take place at 5:80 this afternoon, on King street, from the court house to the college building. There will be sentinels at each corner to pre vent a collision. . At their last meeting our city fathers took no action relating to our boy shooting fireworks today. The crowds were very attentive and enthusiastic and much good was done for tbe cause of white supremacy. Under fusion rule dead negro men and negro boys were prominent voters here, but we have determined that these classes shall not vote in Greene county this year.
