Editor: In my abort article in The Free Press last week, I had only one thought, which waa to assure those of ourcitlsena who are compratively new comera that our little city la not the moat sickly place in the 8tate. "A.," who re plies to my article, in the Issue for Satur day last, goea deeper Into the matter. I agree with him entirely, and will join heartily with him In urging the necessity for water works, sewerage, dralnageand sanitation generally for Kinston. The need la pressing. Speak inn of our medical men I honestly believe that we have men engaged In the healing art here who may have equala in other parts of our State but no superiors. And I have, for a long time, thought there existed very little good reason for send ing patients to distant cities to receive medical and surgical assistance, when we have first claaa men, both middle aged and young, fully capable of taking charge of the most serious cases. To prevent any reader from thinking that I am praising myself I am neither a practising physician nor surgeonbut think I know a good thing when I ses It M. D. anatorlal Timber Bnt Not 'Senator."
