The crippled beggar woman who has been annoying the citizens of Kinston for some time was notified this morn ing to leave the city. She was thought by manv to be an impostor, and, in fact, did abuse the rights of unfortu nates In taking advantage of generous persons. Mrs. Helen Kennedy, Mrs. H. C. V. Peebles, Mrs. M. J. Stanley, and Mrs. Joo. K. Mewborn left this morning for Boston, Mass. Mrs. Kennedy goes to attend the summer school at the Boston conservatory of music while the others of the party go for a pleas ure trip. Messrs. J. E. Hood St Co., who re cently moved into tbelr new building have purchased the stock belonging to Mr. M. H. fadrtck, and will run book and stationery department connection with the drugs. Miss Bessie Rouse, of LaGrange, came this morning to visit her brother, Mayor N. J. Rouse. Mrs. Bern ice W. Hlnes, of Newport News, passed through Kin.ston last night en route to Falling Creek to visit relatives. Mr. Chas. F. Harvey left yesterday afternoon for Wilmington to be in at tendance at the State Bankers' asso ciation at that place. The executive committee of Kins ion Anti-Saloon League met last night and formulated a constitution for the Grmanent organization of a local tgue to oo-orperale with the State league.
