One of the most delightful affaire of the season was a function in the home of Mrs. Julia McDaniel, home of Mrs. Julia McDaniel, on North Queen street Friday afternoon when Misses Mildred and Kate McDaniel entertained about sixty la dies in honor of Mrs. T. A. Duke, who has recently, taken up residence in the city. The evening of the same dav the Misses McDaniel were the hostesses at another function, when Miss Ethel Glenn of Ellisville, Miss, was the honor guest Miss Glenn is spending some time in the McDaniel home. Parham Friday evening entertained the Christian Endeavor Society of the Atkinson Memorial Presbyterian church at her home, on West Peyton avenue. Thirty-six were present From 7:30 to 11 the guests enjoyed rook, musical numbers by members of the company, and deli cious salad and ice cream. The in terior of the hospitable Parham home was beautifully decorated for the oc casion.
