Much uneasineu was occasioned in New Bern and Beaufort for a time when the yacht "Comrade," which left New Bern Wednesday for" tho coat town, failed to put in an ap pearance on time. The Comrado is the property of ex-Governor Upham of Wiuconsin. The owner, who was on board, had as his guests, Mrs. C. L. Duncan and Misses Emma and Grace Manson of Beaufort. When the craft failed to arrive on time the relatives of the ladies im mediately got busy with the wires, but learned nothing from any point on land which would relieve their an xiety. Searching parties were even sent out, it is said. There had been so many maritime accidents recently that the friends of Mrs. Upham's guests were genuinely afraid. The "Comrade," which had been aground in one of the sounds, arriv ed several hours overdue. For instance: We do not carry the cheap shoddy grades of furniture, because there is a small de mand for something cheap. If we can't sell a good article, we do not sell anything. Then again if we haven't just the thing our customer wants, we try to get it for him but we do not try to sell him some thing he dosen't want just to make a sale. : Oettinger's Furniture Store SUTTON Prop.
