As stated in Thu silay's Free Pr', Mayor Sutton has officially notified the North Carolina senators that Kin ston endorses the plan to enlarge the usefulness of the port of Wilmington. Rightly so. All the State should give endorsement. Wilmington's good fortune, if her natural advantages are recognized, in being developed to an important export center an well as shipbuilding seat, will be but the good fortune of the entire State and section. Kinston is interested particularly lccuu.se there is prospect of a direct line of communication with Wil mington. Not only will freight rates be bettered with the opening of the po t to more extensive commerce and the establishment of a direct rail line but the develop ment of the territory to the south of Kinston in the rich agricultural counties of Duplin and Tender will mean much fr Kinston and Eastern Carolina. If Miss March will behave herself half as seemly as did February, the fuel problem for most ordinary con sumers will be about solved until another fall comes around. Mighty good time to be laying ly for the "rainy day," too. . When the proposed federal law to get rid of the mongrel curs goes into effect, riding through the coun try will be a tame affair with no fool dogs to try to pick the sjiokes out of your wheels. COMB SAGE TEA IN FADED OR GRAY HAIR Try (irandmother's Old Favorite Recipe of Sage Tea and Sulphur. Almost everyone knows that Sage Tea arid -Sulphur, propgrly com riounded, brings back the natural col or and lustre to the hair when fad ed, streaked or gray. Years ajro the only way to get this mixture was to make it at home, which is mussy and troublesome. Nowadays we simply ask at any drug store for "Wycth's .Sage and Sulphur Compound." You will get i large bottle of this old-time recipe improved by the ad it ion of other nwdients, at very little cost. Ev erybody uses this (reparation now, because no one can possibly tell 'hat you darkened your hair, as it does it so naturally and evenly. Yon Inmpen a sponge or soft brush with :t and draw this through your hair, taking one small strand at a tinie; by morning the gray hair disappears, t ml after another application or two, vour hnir becomes beautifully dark, hick and glossy and you look years vounger. Wyeth's Vi.re and Sul phur Compound is a delightful' toilet -equi.-ite. It is nut intended fur the inc. mitigation or prevention of disease. adv. ifiiy fathers, when that small son of yours says "Dad dy buy me a war stamp," don't turn a deaf ear but cul tivate the seed of thrift by starting the young man 'in the right direction. Palace horse cars have been tabooed by edict of ye express officials. Thus the horse has been put in the class with the mogul who used to charter a car to avoid the common crowd. The association of mathematics teachers, which is to assemble in Creenville March 8 and f), should find little difficulty in solving any problems that may arise. That Pennsylvania draft board which certified a wood en footed registrant for service evidently had some of the same material in its upper-story. At any rate Berlin seems to be taking the remarks of the (Austrian premlier, anent President Wilson's war aims' proclamation, a little more seriously.
