Hender son, of Bristol, Va, the latter be ing secretary o the laymen's mis sionary movement of the Southern Baptist church. Various commit tees were named to attend the var ious departments of church work and report to the next conference which is to meet at Goldsboro one year hence. The Post a few days ago stated that the hogs in several places in the county were dying with the black tongue. A Salisbury vet erinarian says this is cholera and that it is epidemic in the couuty. He adds that the disease may be stopped by vaccination. He has already vaccinated, a number of hogs in different sections of Ro wan.
